The delightful coral stone villa is furnished with lovely antiques throughout. Clearwater’s extensive open-plan dining and living area, designed to capture tropical breezes and provide views of the sea, opens on to a large, covered veranda with bar, where you can also dine or relax overlooking the sparkling Caribbean Sea.
All four bedrooms are air-conditioned as well as having cooling ceiling fans. Upstairs, the large master bedroom features a queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom, and a wide picture window with excellent views of the sea and gardens. Downstairs, the second sea-side bedroom, with an expansive view down Gibbes Beach, has twin beds and en-suite bathroom. Clearwater's conveniently-placed gates provide direct access to the beach, where you can walk on pristine white sands, watch the glorious sunsets, or gaze at the twinkling stars. Rinsing off is easy in the outside shower house. In addition to the outside patio, Clearwater’s gardens provide ample space for children to play. It should be noted that beaches change their shape and size from day to day, week to week and month to month, mainly as a response to seasonal waves, currents and tides. Every effort has been made to depict the beach in front of this property, but temporary changes may occur.

Our reservations agent, Wendy, was great! She was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Our concierge, Emma, was also great! She was very helpful throughout the stay, but especially great at helping find activities for my 7 year old nephew. Our airport transfer, Tracy, was very prompt and nice. Our Property Manager, Andrew, stopped by to check on us a few times and gave us great info about the island. We loved being right on the beach and all of the staff were great.

Clearwater is a beautiful house, right in the Caribbean. It is built of coral, in the 50's and is very unique. The house is big, plenty of room for the 5 of us, although it easily holds 8. The bedrooms were comfortable and air conditioned, so very nice at night. The upstairs remodeled suite with bathroom is lovely and has a beautiful bathroom. There are 2 more bathrooms on the main floor. We had Sylvie, who has been there for 28 years and kept everything spotless. She even does your laundry if you would like. You could literally go with 2 pairs of shorts and 2 shirts and be good. With swimsuits, of course!
Our cook, Waveny, made the most delicious food. We ate all our meals on the porch, starting with coffee in the morning to a fantastic dinner in the evening. We had one person allergic to fish and there was absolutely no problem. When you go, ask Waveny to make lime pie, with the limes from the backyard.
The grounds are lovely, with a patio with chairs for relaxation when you come in from the water. Everything was so bright and clean. I went with 4 girlfriends and will go back in the future with my family.

Clearwater turned out to be as pleasant and relaxing as we could have wanted. Staff members were friendly and helpful.

Caribbean Bliss is Steps Away
As beaches go, nothing compares to the white sands and clear, calm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. As swimming goes in such a place, nothing compares to the bliss one experiences in the backyard of this Clearwater property. No kidding, fabulous swimming is literally steps from the house. I spent hours each day luxuriating in the warm, calm water. I can’t speak for other times of the year, but in July the beach and bay were never crowded. I often felt I had the sea all to myself.
My favorite part of the house was the back terrace, where I spent most of my time when I was not swimming. The view of the Caribbean is gorgeous – especially at sunset. Home-cooked, local cuisine was also served on the terrace. Waveny, the cook, prepared excellent meals that included limes and breadfruit picked from trees on the property. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating.
In summary, if you like to swim in soothing, turquoise Caribbean waters that are uncrowded (except for the delightful schools of small fish that leap around), Clearwater is the place to go!
