Regional Super 50 Cup 2018: This year our Regional Super 50 Cup will be help in Antigua and Barbados. This is where islands choose teams and compete in a game of one day cricket for Regional honors. Holetown Festival:

The festival commemorates the landing of the first settlers to Barbados at Holetown, St. James in February 1627. It’s now in its 42nd year. Highlights of the festival include a street fair, the beating of the Retreat by the colourful Barbados Defence Band Zouave Band, a Floodlit Tattoo parade by the Royal Barbados Police Force and the Mounted Police, many music concerts, lectures on and tours of Holetown, exhibitions, and a street parade that features among other things vintage and classic cars. Mark the dates!

Agrofest 2018 – The National Agricultural Exhibition:

Agrofest is a unique agricultural exhibition that caters to the entire family. This is Barbados Agricultural Society’s annual Exhibition. Farmers, craft persons and processors of agricultural products are among the many exhibitors each year. Last year there were approximately 60,000 visitors over the three day show and over 250 exhibits running daily. This year’s theme is “Youth Farming for the Future.”

Historic Garrison Night Tour:

This tour is a bit of a thriller and focuses on the macabre side of life in the Garrison. Murders, executions, crimes and punishments! The tour will also explain the Garrison Tunnels by night, details of the construction of the unfinished Garrison Fortress and how ‘Graves End Beach’ got its name. Limegrove Lifestyle Centre Art Exhibition: Landscapes in Miniature by Peter Sheppard: La Casa del Habano at Limegrove Lifestyle Centre presents an Art Exhibition entitled Landscapes in Miniature.

This exhibition showcases miniature paintings of award-winning artist Peter Sheppard. Peter Sheppard, a Trinidadian artist whose niche is Miniature Painting. He is a member of The Hilliard Society of Miniature Painters in the U.K. and President of the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago. The paintings depict flavours of the cococa and coffee lands of his native, Trinidad in meticulously detailed compositions.

Open House: Fustic House, St. Lucy: The Open House programme is presented by the Barbados National Trust.

Fustic House is one of the most distinctive and magical of the transformations created on Barbados by the English theatrical designer, Oliver Messel. Besides the two-part house, there’s a delightful cottage, and the new conference/entertainment pavilion. The overall ambience and the little details all merge to create an atmosphere of unparalleled elegance and tranquility.  With 11 acres of park-like grounds, you’ll want to walk a lot.

Directions: Go north on Highway 2A to St. Lucy’s parish church. Take the 90-degree left at the  roundabout, so that the church car park is on your immediate right. Stay on that road for about 2 km. As you enter Checker Hall, look for the Fustic Village sign on your left, and for our Open House sign too.
