Trust us when we say that the typical Barbadian Christmas also offers a treat for each of the senses. The island blooms with a kaleidoscope of colour as it dons bedazzling decorations strewn across hotels, malls, and homes. You may even experience our version of a white Christmas on our powdery white shores complete with blue waters and refreshing, balmy breezes. Above the crashing waves and cheery, warming banter, you’ll also hear Christmas carols from every street corner, while pine trees with their twinkling lights and brightly coloured decorations tinge the air with a very familiar aroma of Christmas.
But the most endearing part of Christmas in Barbados is definitely the lingering scents of a lovingly prepared Christmas meal, which is in fact more of a feast than a simple lunch or dinner.
