Top 5 things to do on a short break to Barbados!

By on Monday, October 23, 2017

We all wish time stopped while on holiday, but it really does fly when you're having fun and moves even more quickly on a short break! There's so much to do in Barbados, you could easily fill a lengthy itinerary, but what do you chose when time is limited?

To ensure you make the most of a quick trip to Barbados our Concierge Can team has compiled the top 5 things to do on a short break.

Oistins

5. Oistins Fish Fry

Barbadians love food, they do it well and it doesn't get much better than fresh fish perfectly grilled to order. The ideal atmosphere to enjoy it is at the Friday night fish fry in Oistins Bay Gardens. This rustic setting is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike who come for the food and stay for the music, arts and crafts on sale and a local beer or two!

Horseback Riding

4. Island Tour

Take a scenic horseback ride along the coast and through natural woodlands to enjoy the island's natural beauty. Or, for an equally exciting adventure, hop on an open-back truck to explore Barbados off-road on an 'island safari'.

Sunset

3. Watch the sunset on the West Coast

There is something truly magical about the sun setting over tropical blue waters. Staying in one of Blue Sky's luxury villas on the West Coast allows for a daily indulgance of this spectacular show. But, even if you're not staying on the west, our Concierge Can team can organise a sunset cruise on a Catamaran for you to soak up this natural beauty.

2. Rum Cocktails

When in Barbados! Whether you're enjoying one on the balcony at your villa, or experiencing the Mount Gay Rum tour, having a rum cocktail is a must for any trip to Barbados.

 Beach Top 5

1. Day at the Beach

You truly can't come to Barbados without a trip to the beach. If you are fortunate enough, just head a few paces away from your holiday home to the powdery beachfront. If you're active, try something new like paddle boarding or surfing. If you're here to relax, take your favourite book or indulge in a beachside massage.
